Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist In the Accounts Payable Specialist role, you'll take ownership of critical accounts payable functions, including:
Full Cycle Accounts Payable: Oversee all phases of the AP process.
Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
Expense Management: Process and monitor expenses.
GL Coding: Accurately code entries to the general ledger.
Invoice Processing: Manage and process 130+ invoices weekly.
Check Runs: Execute timely and accurate check runs.
Matching: Verify the matching of invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
Experience Preferred for the Accounts Payable Specialist The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist candidate will bring:
A strong work ethic, sound judgment, and a commitment to a long-term career path.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while excelling in a team setting.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist Role
2+ years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, mainly intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience with Sage Intacct, Concur, or Manage Engine is a plus.
