We're currently looking for an Email and Technical Copywriter at Hyperlite Mountain Gear who can develop clear, compelling copy that communicates our brand's value in a straightforward, engaging way. Reporting directly to the Creative Manager, this role will focus on writing persuasive, conversion-focused email campaigns, product descriptions, and landing page content that resonates with our audience's needs. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for the outdoors and a deep understanding of how to optimize messaging for simplicity, clarity, and selling power. Reporting Relationships: Reporting to the Creative Manager, with strong cross function collaboration and working relationships with the Marketing and Sales teams. Key Responsibilities: Email Campaign Development: Write, test, and build email campaigns that capture the brand's voice and drive conversions. Craft subject lines, preview text, and CTAs to maximize open and click-through rates. Simplify Technical Language: Take complex technical specifications and features and distill them into benefit-driven language that's easy to understand, engaging, and relevant to our audience. Product Descriptions: Write compelling, accurate product descriptions that communicate the features, benefits, and unique aspects of Hyperlite Mountain Gear's products, highlighting our commitment to lightweight, high-performance design. Landing Page and Web Copy: Work with the Creative Manager and Dir of Website and Analytics to develop landing pages that drive conversions, using concise and persuasive copy to highlight product value and inspire action. A/B Testing and Optimization: Conduct A/B testing on email content and continuously improve based on performance metrics to ensure content resonates with the target audience. SEO and Keyword Integration: Incorporate basic SEO best practices and keywords into copy to improve organic visibility and reach. Brand Voice Consistency: Maintain Hyperlite Mountain Gear's unique voice across all content, ensuring that each message aligns with our brand ethos of simplicity, durability, and purpose. Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the product, marketing, and creative teams to gain insights on product specifications, target audience, and campaign goals, tailoring messaging to meet business objectives effectively. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: 3 years in copywriting, specifically with a focus on email marketing, product descriptions, or technical content. Experience with outdoor, lifestyle, or technical products is a plus. Writing Mastery: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a talent for simplicity and a keen eye for detail. Technical Understanding: Ability to grasp technical details quickly and explain product features in a compelling, benefit-driven way for a non-technical audience. Sales and Conversion Focus: Strong understanding of how to write copy that drives sales, engages readers, and encourages them to take action. Data-Driven: Experience with A/B testing and interpreting data to refine and improve email and copy performance. SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to naturally integrate keywords into copy. Email Marketing Platforms: Proficiency in email marketing tools such as Klaviyo, and familiarity with Google Analytics. Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities. Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust tone, style, and approach to fit different audiences and project requirements. Preferred Skills: Experience with outdoor brands, e-commerce, or lifestyle products. Basic HTML/CSS skills to aid in email formatting. basic graphic design skills using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator. Familiarity with customer journey mapping and lifecycle email strategies. What's in it for you?
