Senior Corporate Tax Accountant

Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to join our client in Sarasota, FL This permanent opportunity offers up to $105,000 annually with bonus opportunities. This role includes the preparation and review of tax returns, provision calculations, and responding to tax authorities, as well as participating in special projects and technical tax research. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and a commitment to accuracy and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Review federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns, including unitary filings. Calculate and analyze book-tax differences and state apportionment. Prepare and review quarterly estimates, annual extension filings, and tax provisions. Facilitate data collection with internal accounting teams and external advisors. Research and draft responses to inquiries from federal and state tax authorities. Reconcile tax-related accounts and address discrepancies. Support and lead aspects of special tax projects, including technical research and documentation. Collaborate across departments to ensure tax compliance and support business operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal and state taxation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or review capacity. A blend of public accounting and corporate tax experience is preferred. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; experience with tax software (e.g., CorpTax) is advantageous. Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
