C++ Software Engineer (WEX)

We are seeking smart and motivated developers to join our team of Software Engineers responsible for the evolution of our trading platform. In this role you will in engage in the full cycle development of the award-winning WEX order routing management system, from our front-end trading applications to our latency sensitive back-end infrastructure. Prior experience in the trading industry is not required, as mentorship programs and in-house educational courses are offered to all employees. In this role you will: - Engage in full cycle development of the WEX trading platform. - Communicate with stakeholders to design and build out new features. - Turn requirements into concrete designs, iterate on designs with peers and business advisors, and ultimately deliver optimized applications in a timely manner. - Provide insights on how to optimize, modernize, and simplify our system on your own initiative, as well as ways to improve usability and scalability. - Keep abreast of emerging technologies, new language features, and learn new APIs or tools as needed to solve problems. Minimum Qualifications Proficiency in modern C++, up to and including C++20. Be organized and self-directed, able to manage your own workload and provide reasonable estimates for completion. Have great analytical and problem solving skills. Have great communication skills, able to convey design decisions in both technical and layman's terms. Experience with (or willingness to learn) Visual Studio IDE, Jenkins, SVN, Git, in a Windows development environment. Ideal Qualifications Be up to date with modern C++ standards, with knowledge of STL. Experience with SQL. Knowledge of multi-threaded application development concepts.
