Scope of Position The Brand Manager will spearhead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that support the growth of clients' natural, organic, and breakfast product lines. This role will manage all marketing functions, processes, and reporting, ensuring the brand's success within these categories. A critical component of the position will involve integrating natural and organic strategies into breakfast offerings (e.g., pancakes and syrup) while also overseeing non-natural breakfast product strategies. Responsibili ties Business Management Drive portfolio growth, including resource allocation, forecast development (with input from cross-functional teams), ongoing budget management, and financial oversight of the P&L. Perform in-depth business analysis within a competitive landscape, identifying root causes of challenges and implementing actionable solutions. Participate in key customer interactions, representing the brand. Innovation & Product Development Collaborate with R&D to establish innovation strategies and manage the commercial launch of new products. Recommend and implement product quality enhancements based on consumer insights. Marketing Activation & Engagement Lead the development and execution of commercial/brand initiatives with agency partners, optimizing strategies across the customer journey. Oversee the brand strategy (Equity/Architecture), ensuring cohesive brand identity and consistency across all touchpoints, particularly packaging. Develop licensing and private label (PL) strategies for in-bound and out-bound opportunities. Cross-Functional Leadership Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., Supply Chain) to ensure financial objectives are met. Serve as a key leader within the Innovation Leadership team. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA preferred. Proven track record in CPG brand marketing across both large and small brands. Demonstrated ability to create and execute innovative marketing, sales, and communication strategies. Experience in launching successful in-market product innovations driven by consumer insights. Expertise in leading advertising and communication strategies, including managing creative agencies. Proficiency in Shopper Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Social Media. Experience leveraging PR to enhance brand consideration and conversion. Skilled in using syndicated data (IRI, SPINS) to drive data-based recommendations. Strong financial and business acumen. Personal Traits Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. High energy, driven, and adaptable in fast-paced environments. Passionate about food and marketing. Ability to handle ambiguity and thrive in dynamic situations. Bonus Points Experience with natural channels (e.g., Whole Foods, Sprouts). Proven success in startup or private equity-backed environments. Expertise in food marketing, particularly in breakfast or baking categories.
