Our challenge We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer with extensive experience in SQL Server and Informatica to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration and transformation. Candidate will work closely with data analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to support data warehousing and analytics initiatives. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $115k - $120k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities : Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica to extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into SQL Server data warehouses. Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Optimize ETL workflows for performance, ensuring efficient data processing and load times. Monitor and maintain ETL processes, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure data integrity and reliability. Create and maintain documentation of ETL processes, including design specifications, data mappings, and operational procedures. Develop and execute test plans to validate ETL processes and ensure data quality. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance ETL processes and toolsets. Provide support for data governance and quality initiatives. Requirements: You are: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an ETL Developer, with a strong focus on SQL Server and Informatica. Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions. Experience in data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling. Familiarity with data integration and transformation patterns and ETL best practices. Understanding of performance tuning techniques for SQL Server databases. Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. It would be great if you also had: Experience with other ETL tools or data integration platforms. Familiarity with cloud-based data services (e.g., Azure, AWS). Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, C#) is beneficial.
