Summary: Goldbelt C6 is seeking a Project Support Specialist II provides programmatic and analytical services for PRB in the areas of verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and health communication practices. The assignment of each task or assignment and its delivery schedule will be established by the Principal Management Official and may be subject to change or modification depending on organizational needs and priorities. This position performs programmatic support services for multiple teams in the Poxvirus and Rabies Branch (PRB). The PRB is a global leader in poxvirus and rabies control activities, serving as lead technical advisors to both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Provide assistance to support and carry out a broad array of program and administrative activities including: Assistance with onboarding staff. Maintaining files, including meeting notes and electronic databases. Attending regular meetings with the PRB staff to determine the operational components necessary for laboratory and field projects in the branch. Assisting in the management of grants, cooperative agreements, inter-agency agreements, and technical transfer documents for the Poxvirus and Rabies Branch. Acting as Timekeeper for the branch. Processing travel for PRB staff. Processing Personnel Action Requests for staff and fellows. Participating in PRB budgetary planning, procurement actions, and projections on anticipated needs. Providing assistance and guidance to PRB staff with processing invoices and managing Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs). Entering procurement requests in the APEX system after receiving a completed package. Collecting, reviewing, and interpreting data related to fiscal expenditure and allocation in CDC financial systems (APEX, IRIS, etc.). Assisting with the responses to inquiries, including those from the public, healthcare professional, the media and Congress. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Highly proficient using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams). Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges. Excellent judgment and decision-making skills. Capable of working independently with ability to multitask successfully. Highly organized with great attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in relevant field with 4 years of experience supporting multiple projects by providing technical support and general administrative functions. OR High School Diploma with 10 years of experience supporting multiple projects by providing technical support and general administrative functions. Previous experience in preparing meeting agendas and minutes for external distribution and leadership review. Experience maintaining official documents and records. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 2 years of experience supporting multiple projects by providing technical support and general administrative functions. Knowledge of project management systems and application of project management software (primarily Microsoft Teams and SharePoint).
