Position Type: TECHNOLOGY/Technician Date Posted: 11/15/2024 Location: ADMINISTRATION BUILDING Date Available: 01/02/2025 Closing Date: 11/29/2024 Computer Technician Full-Time - 12 month position Available 1/2/25 EOE Qualifications: High School Diploma plus evidence (transcript/diploma/certificate) of specialization in any or all of the following areas: engineering, computer science, network management Demonstrated proficiency with: troubleshooting computers for software and hardware problems; Windows, Google, and OS X environments, Active Directory environments, Data Center infrastructure technologies such as SAN and Virtualization; and basic network concepts- Cisco experience a plus Ability to maintain and create detailed support documentation and communication with a strong desire to expand knowledge of various computer and network systems Network / A/ and Microsoft Certifications preferred Successful criminal history/background check, proof of authorization to work in the U.S., and NJ residency or waiver within one year of employment is required Reports to: Systems Administrator Performance Responsibilities: Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and provides technical support for computer hardware and software Provides training and education to school district personnel on computer equipment and programs Assists teachers in making proper use of computer equipment, learning and using appropriate software materials Inventories computer hardware, software and supplies Establishes physical connections, configures servers and client machines and creates network policies and user profiles Monitors and maintains all instructional Local Area Networks Schedules and manages cleaning and maintenance on all instructional computers K-12 during the summer Keeps abreast of evolving technology Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned Terms of Employment: 12 month position Non-bargaining-unit position. Salary and other terms and conditions of employment established by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools.
