A Talascend client in the San Francisco Bay Area (Fremont and Hayward) is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration of systems in the production environment. Travel between locations is required, and the role is fully onsite (5 days/week). RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and implement Ignition-based systems supporting manufacturing line requirements. Develop and implement software programs for automation systems and equipment used in production. Develop software for engineering tools that support production activities. Provide onsite support for manufacturing production lines to resolve any manufacturing systems-related issues. Work closely with process and manufacturing engineers to ensure successful integration of systems. REQUIREMENTS: Strong Ignition Vision and Perspective module programming experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SCADA system usage in manufacturing (requirements analysis, design, software development, and solutions implementation). 5 years of hands-on experience implementing SCADA systems, with in-depth experience using Inductive Automation Ignition software and strong programming skills Extensive experience providing in-person support on the manufacturing plant floor. Basic knowledge of integrating Ignition with PLC using Kepware through OPC UA servers. Understanding and experience with integrating Ignition systems with SAP ME/Mii systems. Experience integrating web service calls. Ability to work onsite at the facilities in Fremont and Hayward, California. in both Vision and Perspective modules. Strong software programming skills with languages such as Python, Java, etc., and the ability to program complex database queries. Ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and systems. Customer-focused, self-motivated, positive, supportive, and works well in a team environment. BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Engineering. Experience in an automotive manufacturing production environment.
