IT Systems Engineer I

Responsibilities This position is based onsite at our office in Birmingham, Atlanta, or Nashville. We’re seeking a skilled systems engineer who has the business knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon an infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our company and industry. In this role, the systems engineer will design, develop, and integrate complex work systems for every stage of a lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be able to reliably deliver mission-critical infrastructure with an eye toward security, accessibility, and optimization. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): Managing onboarding and offboarding of devices and endpoints Managing endpoint deployment processes and technology Automating processes and improving them via scripts (PowerShell) Ensure all work is executed in a secure manner Infrastructure ticket triage, research, and work with others to resolve recurring or escalated support issues Install, configure, and administer systems, services, and line of business applications Perform advanced troubleshooting of applications and the infrastructure they run on Perform complex updates, patches, and configuration changes Identify process improvement opportunities and areas for automation Manage and maintain application delivery technologies Manage cloud applications Create, update, and manage integrations and integrated systems Craft custom scripts and automations that reduce the need for human interaction Maintain desired state for servers and endpoints Communicate with stakeholders to identify what they want to accomplish with a system or application Work with vendors to get quotes and service for new or existing applications, services, and equipment Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience 2-4 years of professional experience coupled with technical expertise required of the role Bachelor's degree in a technology related field or relevant certifications Experience with PowerShell scripting Experience with Azure and Intune endpoint management in a Microsoft environment Willingness and ability to learn Communication with varied audiences, including leadership and end users Solution-oriented Desire and ability to teach and mentor others The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
