About the Job:
The Head of Marketing will lead the marketing strategy and execution for our portfolio of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands. This role will drive brand growth, market share, and consumer engagement through innovative marketing initiatives, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional leadership. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for shaping the company's brand identity, overseeing product launches, managing marketing operations, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Essential Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business goals, focusing on brand growth, consumer acquisition, retention, and market share. Lead the marketing team in building integrated, multi-channel campaigns (including digital, social media, TV, print, and in-store promotions) to drive brand awareness and product demand. Oversee the annual marketing plan and budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Brand Management & Product Marketing:
Lead brand positioning, messaging, and identity to maintain a strong and consistent brand presence across all touchpoints. Manage and execute product marketing initiatives, including product development, packaging, pricing strategies, and go-to-market campaigns. Monitor market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for new product innovation and market expansion. Consumer Insights & Analytics:
Use data analytics, market research, and consumer insights to drive decisions around product development, marketing strategies, and customer experience. Leverage performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven adjustments to optimize performance. Digital Marketing & E-commerce:
Oversee digital marketing strategies, including SEO/SEM, email, content marketing, social media, and paid advertising to drive consumer engagement and sales growth. Collaborate with the e-commerce team to enhance online presence, optimize digital channels, and develop strategies to improve direct-to-consumer sales. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with sales, product development, operations, and finance to ensure marketing strategies support overall business objectives and growth targets. Lead communication efforts with external agencies, media partners, and vendors to develop and execute successful campaigns. Leadership & Team Development:
Lead a team of 10-15 associates across 3 teams, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team that is agile, creative, and focused on delivering results. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture that encourages professional growth and operational excellence. Budget Management:
Oversee marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to optimize spend and achieve key marketing goals. Ensure all marketing initiatives are cost-effective, providing a clear ROI.
Minimum Requirements: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. • Experience: 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the CPG industry. • Proven track record of leading successful marketing campaigns, growing brands, and delivering measurable business results. • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, consumer insights, brand management, and product marketing in a CPG environment. • Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a large, diverse team. • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and optimize marketing strategies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. • Experience managing large marketing budgets and delivering high ROI on marketing spend.
Salary:
The anticipated compensation range for this position is
$180,000 - $200,000
based on qualifications and experience level. There is also a
bonus incentive
based on company and individual performance.
