Job Duties:

The CSS Administrative Assistant coordinates general administrative, business management and support activities for Child Support Services Division Regional Office. Coordinates personnel activities for Child Support Services Division Regional Office: serves as resource person on personnel policies and procedures for assigned region to include SCEIS assistance. Prepares and processes necessary personnel actions for assigned Region. Orders supplies/equipment for Child Support Services Division Regional Office by preparing necessary documents; maintains inventory of same; reviews invoices and processes for payment by contacting vendor when necessary. Assists Child Support Services Division Regional Director with budget preparation annually; monitors budget expenditures for designated cost center; PCA's on a monthly basis; requests corrections/transfers through Child Support Services Division Business Manager when appropriate. Schedules State-owned vehicles assigned to Region for use by staff: assures vehicles are taken to shop for routine and/or necessary maintenance. Assists employees with travel reimbursements for private automobile use when state-owned vehicle is unavailable. Supervises the performance of the administrative staff for regional office; responsible for hiring, training, staffing and evaluating staff; monitors workload to assure legal documents and correspondence are completed accurately and timely. In-processes new employees for CSSD Regional Office to include explanation of benefits offered by State government. Serves as contact person for CSSD on administrative policies and procedures in regional office. Assists CSSD Regional Director with special projects. Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty and services as directed. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A High School Diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.

A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for the related work experience. Preferred Qualifications
