Primary Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Junior Chemist is to assist in research and laboratory experiments verifying raw material and finished goods samples that support the manufacturing of non-tobacco, nicotine products.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop methods for HPLC and Gas Chromatography analysis and ensure appropriate requirements are followed. • Responsible for maintaining revisions to lab work instructions and test methods. • Responsible for performing non-routine analysis on various samples. • Responsible for documenting and interpreting data. • Responsible for performing daily/weekly maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment. • Responsible for providing technical support to QA Technicians and compounders. • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required: • Five years experience in analytical laboratory • Proficient in use of scientific method, critical thinking, and problem solving • Strong knowledge of high performance liquid and gas chromatography • High Problem-solving skills, thinking out of the box, innovative approaches to roadblocks • Laboratory qualitative and quantitative analysis skills • Strong knowledge or interest in raw material functions and properties • Ability to follow instructions as well as to work independently
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or science-related field
