Job Overview
AFG is seeking an experienced tactical and strategic Human Resources (HR) Director to lead our HR department. This leader will consult, advise, and implement effective human resource management policies, programs, and practices. The HR Director will have a proven history of successfully developing and implementing HR initiatives that drive employee engagement and align with business goals and vision. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, inclusive of talent acquisition, hiring, benefits, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and compliance. This is a senior leadership role that will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's overall objectives and goals. Lead the HR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, senior, and executive leadership in areas of human resources policies, procedures, and best practices. Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning initiatives. Oversee employee relations issues, to include conflict resolution, investigations, and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal, state legal regulations. Establish employee engagement initiatives and programs to enhance productivity and increase employee retention. Lead diversity and inclusion efforts, promoting an inclusive and equitable workplace. Ensure a competitive total rewards package through fair & equitable compensation philosophy and group benefits retirement and health insurance package for employees. Collaborate with managers and senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Executes best practices for hiring and talent management. Conduct research and analysis of HR KPIs & organizational trends through review of reports and metrics of the workforce. Analyzes trends and develop solutions, programs, and policies to align with business objectives. Ensure adequate use and functionality of Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, and other software systems. Support the Learning Management System (LMS) functionality and workforce compliance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day employment operations, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to studio management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions). Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs. Oversee timely and efficient delivery of company communication, electronic & print resources relating to workforce people and culture initiatives. May assist in the planning and facilitation of company wide events, meetings, and conferences. This role will require occasional travel across local and state markets/territories. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in managing HRIS systems and utilizing HR analytics for data-driven decision-making. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Outstanding organizational and project management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree in a related field a plus. Seven years of progressive HR experience, with two years in a role that leads people, programs, or projects. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred. Work Conditions
Traditional office work environment. May include occasional correspondence with members, sub franchisees, and other partners. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working at a computer. Occasional travel across local area and out of state. May require ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs for inventory resources.
