Works under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Technology to maintain and support the continued development of the National Collections database systems. Assumes all project-related development of databases and other new technology including coordinating activities, evaluating system requirements, documenting database structures, and maintaining data integrity. Contributes to the Bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference. Demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to the USCCB mission and to fulfill job duties in accordance with its Catholic identity.

Continuing Responsibilities: (List from highest to lowest priority.)

1. Database Management (60%)

· Conduct detailed analysis of grant-making and fundraising operations to design technical solutions to meet evolving business requirements.

· Manage efficient planning and delivery of system updates, modifications, and adoption of best practices policies; conduct research to identify opportunities to leverage new functionality within the systems to streamline processes.

· Implement products’ new features to increase the utilization of the system through user engagement and provide recommendations for process improvements.

· Collaborate with Assistant Director of Technology and external vendors on system integration and data scrubbing as needed.

2. Technical Support (35%)

· Provide support and training to staff on an ongoing basis to best utilize the systems, developing “how to” guides, training videos, and procedural manuals; resolve technical issues with software vendors and/or contractors as needed.

· Maintain data integrity, oversee information validation, data corrections, system utilities protocols, and evaluate the data usability for statistics and reporting needs.

· Act as system administrator to troubleshoot and work toward resolution of problems.

3. Other (5%)

Perform other duties assigned by the Assistant Director of Technology.

Level: Bachelor of Science in related computer field ora combination of related work experience and education.

Major Field/Specialty: Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Systems, or related computer field
