About the Role: Financial Analyst
As a Financial Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, which includes budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. Your main focus will be assisting in the evaluation and reporting of the organization’s financial goals and results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate budget-to-actual results, identifying trends and issues.
- Prepare and maintain financial models and projections.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for Executive Management and Department Heads.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into departmental budget-to-actual variances.
- Collaborate with departments to research and resolve inquiries about budgets and expenditures.
- Help maintain internal controls related to the FP&A process.
- Administer and update the Budget & Financial Planning SharePoint site.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 0-2 years of related experience in financial analysis.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with enterprise accounting systems and insurance industry knowledge is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
- Collaboration: A team player with a self-starter attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
