Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Security Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the facility. The primary responsibilities include controlling access to the site, monitoring surveillance systems, conducting routine patrols, and responding to emergencies or incidents. They ensure compliance with security protocols, manage visitor logs, and perform safety inspections. Additionally, they provide administrative support by maintaining records, managing security badges, and coordinating with site personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow and support company safety policies.
- Welcome guests, audit security and safety assets, and report any issues.
- Track visitor and contractor sign-ins and ensure proper registration.
- Monitor security cameras and report any incidents.
- Work with HR to keep sensitive matters confidential.
- Manage employee badges and locker assignments.
- Lead and assist in emergencies (medical, fire, weather, etc.).
- Patrol and inspect interior and exterior of facility to ensure site and personnel safety
- Maintain housekeeping standards in your area.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED

Computer and Technology Skills:
The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
