Position: Industrial Security Specialist
Clearance: Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance is required and current within the last five years
Work Location: Arlington, VA
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday onsite (Regular Full-time)
Work Authorization: United States (Required)
Position Summary
The Industrial Security Specialist will provide oversight and manage all activities to support the protection of classified information developed by or entrusted to U.S. industry operating under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). They will provide technical classification management support and assist with all classification management activities, including managing, drafting, updating, reviewing, coordinating, and maintaining all of the client's Security Classification Guides (SCGs). You must have at least seven years of experience and a current Top Secret Clearance and be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph. You must be able to work onsite in Arlington, VA.
Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure completion of Original Classification Authority (OCA) annual training for the Program Executive Officer (PEO)
- Develop and maintain all of the client's Collateral and Special Access Program (SAP) Security Classification Guides (SGCs)
- Update the SCGs with results from the biennial review
- Coordinate any SCG change or clarification requests submitted by the Government or prime contractor
- Draft response to the change/clarification request
- Draft and coordinate all contracting letters for prime contractors in reference to SCG changes
- Update the Security Operations Manual, as required, to ensure the Public Release process is current
- Review all Public Release requests (articles, videos, photos, or other media submitted to the Public Affairs Office (PAO)
- Work with PAO on any new release processes or procedures that are established
- Brief and coordinate SAP and collateral security requirements for USAF, USN, USMC, and international bed down sites
- Communicate secure facility construction and accreditation technical security standards
- Maintain and monitor security activities at bed down locations until facilities receive accreditation
- Conduct Critical Program Information (CPI) Assessments and Criticality Analyses
- Evaluate and track SCRM Program and Implementation Plans
- Draft DD-254s for prime contractors and update/revise existing DD-254s as changes occur; review sub-contract DD-254s to ensure accuracy
- Validate facility clearance and storage level
- Validate DD-254 on file for Program Access Requests to support PERSEC inquiries
- Prepare and coordinate National Interest Determinations (NIDs)
- Update and maintain the DD-254 database of record
Position Qualifications
- Masters degree or Bachelors degree in a related discipline; or seven (7) years relevant specialized security experience, if no degree
- Possess thorough knowledge of NISPOM DoD Manual 5205.07 Vol 1-4, Executive Order (EO) 13526, EO 129589, and JAFAN series security requirements
- Possess a minimum of five years of relevant specialized security experience in generating and maintaining security classification guides
- Must be SAP eligible
- Must have Industrial Security Oversight Certification (CDSE) within one year of hire
- Demonstrated experience in aircraft and international programs
- Available to work before/after typical office hours as work may demand
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Excellent briefing and technical writing skills
- Impeccable customer service skills
- Read, speak, and understand the English language fluently
- Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools and systems to include Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint
- Complete a security screening interview
- Must maintain clearance, eligibility throughout employment
- Must meet client suitability
