Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team in the Banking industry located in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing customer credit applications, and maintaining accurate customer records. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.


Responsibilities:


• Handle and respond to day-to-day client calls, requests, and questions.

• Manage the processing of customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action in a timely manner.

• Act as a strong team player within the organization, promoting and practicing a team approach to accomplish duties, goals, and objectives.

• Understand a client's full banking relationship and make product and service recommendations.

• Perform all aspects of opening new accounts for clients.

• Process wire transfers, stop payments, and various other banking services for clients.

• Assist with daily general ledger balancing, certifications, and other operational tasks for the department.

• Provide backup to the reception desk as needed.

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
• Experience with Ceridian and CRM software
• Familiarity with Dayforce system
• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration
• Proven experience in Auditing
• Understanding of Benefit Functions and Claim Administration
• Experience in Cobra Administration
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, self-motivated, and ability to work independently
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work based on urgency
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Flexible to work in shifts as required by the banking industry.
