Job Description
We are in search of an Accounting Assistant to become part of our team. This role is primarily based in Mays Landing, New Jersey, with a focus on data entry tasks within the accounting sector. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and record data related to customer credit applications
• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required
• Assist with payroll tasks as necessary
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools for efficient work
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
• Conduct bank reconciliations as part of regular auditing processes
• Operate financial services tools like ADP and Concur
• The role of Accounting Assistant requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a prerequisite for this role.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary for the execution of the job responsibilities.
• Proficiency in using Concur is expected.
• Knowledge and experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.
• A strong understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary for this role.
• The candidate must have hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is a requirement for this role.
• The candidate must have auditing skills.
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is a requirement for this role.
