Job Description
Our public sector client is seeking an accounting professional to support their Finance Department for six months and full time. This is 100% onsite in the office.
•Key responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain precise records.
• Handle accounts payable tasks including billing, reporting, and auditing.
• Conduct reconciliation activities, rectifying any discrepancies or errors in the accounting process.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial planning processes.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform data entry tasks related to financial information.
• Offer support services to the finance team for informed financial decision making.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and stay updated with current industry trends and practices.
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Finance Director or their assigned representative. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP).
• Practical experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proven ability in Billing procedures and practices.
• Proficiency in Data Entry is a must.
• Experience in Invoice Processing is required.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting.
• Knowledge of Oracle financial software is essential.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks for accounting purposes.
• Familiarity with SAP for financial management and operations.
