JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to join our team. This role will have a hands-on focus and will be responsible for directly overseeing daily accounting operations, including managing transactions, accounts receivable, and sales orders. The Accounting Lead will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong relationships with our sales and service teams

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on their daily tasks and professional development.
  • Actively manage and oversee all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all financial data is recorded correctly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports using advanced Excel skills to provide insights into financial performance and assist in decision-making.
  • Work closely with the sales and service teams to align financial operations with business objectives and support customer-related financial inquiries.
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Pay close attention to detail.
  • Advanced skillset in Excel for VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Multiple Sheet Formulations, etc.
  • Management of an Accounting Team (specifically AR)
  • Proven analytical skillset within reporting and excel
  • Strong reading and communication skills.
  • ERP experience a plus (specifically NetSuite
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable and transaction management.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to function in a work environment with moderate noise level from several sources creating constant activity.
