We are seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to join our team. This role will have a hands-on focus and will be responsible for directly overseeing daily accounting operations, including managing transactions, accounts receivable, and sales orders. The Accounting Lead will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong relationships with our sales and service teams
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on their daily tasks and professional development.
- Actively manage and oversee all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all financial data is recorded correctly.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports using advanced Excel skills to provide insights into financial performance and assist in decision-making.
- Work closely with the sales and service teams to align financial operations with business objectives and support customer-related financial inquiries.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Advanced skillset in Excel for VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Multiple Sheet Formulations, etc.
- Management of an Accounting Team (specifically AR)
- Proven analytical skillset within reporting and excel
- Strong reading and communication skills.
- ERP experience a plus (specifically NetSuite
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable and transaction management.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
