Position Summary
General Ledger Accountant is responsible for assisting with the month end close process, working with various stakeholders to achieve timely and accurate results and utilizing technical accounting skills to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations to ensure the accuracy of general ledger. Review flux and trend analyses of financial statements data monthly.
- Responsible for month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and uploading period results into corporate ERP system
- Prepare and review account reconciliations. Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to determine the proper accounting treatment of business transactions and resolve any aging items.
- Support internal and external audits, as well as external reporting activities.
- Assess current SOX controls to ensure adequacy. Identify and implement any new controls on existing or new processes, including updating/creating process documentation, collaborating with business process owners, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Systems aptitude with strong Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
$60,800.00 - $91,200.00
