Analyzing and researching all outstanding deposit items from Mechanics & Farmer, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo banks. This position will ensure all bank deposits are certified in the state, NCFS (North Carolina Financial Service System).

The North Carolina A&T State University Treasurer's Office is comprised of three functional areas: Student Accounts, the Cashier's Office, and Student Collections.

Work Hours 8:00am - 5:00pm; Monday - Friday Is this position eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. Hybrid (Employees are working part-time in the office to perform job tasks that require on-campus engagement, and the remaining time at home)

Key Responsibilities and Related Competencies

Required Competency Knowledge - Technical Duties

Considerable knowledge and use of Banner Finance and Banner Student system.

Considerable knowledge and use of the State of North Carolina Financial Services System (NCFS) for certifying daily local deposits and wires.

Considerable knowledge and use of the Touchnet Cashiering system.

Possess excellent computer literacy and analytical skills.

Required Competency Financial Program Monitoring and Management Duties

Researching and analyzing all outstanding, uncertified deposits from the bank.

Daily certifying and reconciliation of deposits and wires to the State of North Carolina Financial Services System.

Research, analyze and process the daily reconciliation of the Banner Finance System, NCFS, Cashier Collections and Bank Statements.

Process student receipts and departmental deposits.

Required Competency Customer Service/Communication Duties

Correct information is released to internal and external parties based on unit guidelines.

Ability to explain and interpret financial information.

Assist parents and students in a courteous manner.

Provides input in establishing customer service standards.

Establishes and maintains strong relationship with the state, banks, community, faculty, staff, students and/or vendors.

Required Competency Problem Solving Duties

Research and resolve any discrepancies with the reconciliation of the Banner Finance and Banner Student system.

Research and resolve any discrepancies with the certifying of local deposits and wires within the State of North Carolina Financial Services System (NCFS).

Research and resolve all internal and external customers and/or vendors problems.
