Summary/Objective
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various administrative and client-facing tasks related to payroll, treasury and special programs. In this role, you will ensure accuracy, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with internal teams and clients to guarantee timely delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoice approvals and adjustments, and address client billing inquiries.
- Assist with billing processes and communication for special programs.
- Create, maintain, and remediate general ledger exports for accurate reporting.
- Support treasury tasks related to payroll using banking platforms and tracking tools.
- Collaborate with internal team members, clients, and vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adapt to evolving workflows, priorities, and processes.
Required Skills:
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail is essential, as accuracy is critical when overseeing and verifying financial and legal data.
- Strong Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely delivery of service.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Must be able to clearly and promptly communicate with internal teams and clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues early and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar administrative or program management role.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with professional employer organization is a plus
