Manager, Partnership Accounting

LOCATION: New York, NY

ORGANIZATION: Top Ranking Law Firm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage Equity Partner payment process
  • Maintenance of Paid in Capital
  • Manage Retired Partner Benefits process
  • Lead Partner mobility reporting, including headcount reporting
  • Assist with Partner expatriate payments
  • Maintenance of Partner Receivables
  • Collaborate with Global Controller on treasury activities
  • Review monthly journal entries and account analysis of critical balance sheet accounts
  • Coordinate and maintain Partner banking information
  • Assist with annual budget process
  • Prepare and review audit schedules
  • Ensure partner profiles are accurately maintained in Workday
  • Mentor and develop the partnership accounting and tax team
  • Manage operational activities with a focus on efficiency client service
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of related accounting experience required; Big Four accounting firm preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with partnership model including knowledge of cash-basis accounting and audit issues
  • Broad financial experience and technical skills
  • Perform all job duties with a commitment to providing superior service to clients and attorneys while producing a high quality work product
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently
