About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vision and leadership in line with the ACRL's core purpose and strategic objectives, including a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. This role involves representing the interests of academic and research librarians and library workers, forging partnerships to enhance ACRL's impact, and managing a high-performing team. The Executive Director will also be tasked with long-range strategic planning, overseeing a significant budget, and facilitating the delivery of programs and services that advance the work of the academic and research library community. The role requires a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as strong managerial and leadership skills, strategic decision-making, and the ability to balance competing demands in a complex organizational environment.
