Cybersecurity Incident Response and CybersecurityAssessment services guide the University in handling information securityrisk. The ISPO's services enable theinstitution to respond to unauthorized disclosure of institutional information,and to identify areas where information assets are not adequately safeguardedin both enterprise and departmental systems and networks. ACybersecurity Assistant must have a working knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacyprinciples and best practices. Thisposition requires a combination of technical, analytical, and customer serviceskills with the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision in afast-paced environment. Duties will include: Maintain knowledge of current technological development/trends in area of expertise Participate in projects to enhance information security and/or data privacy for UNM computing environments Respond to customer service requests maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism Write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications: Ability to analyze and resolve information security and privacy problems Ability to communicate technical guidance and instructions to end-users Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems, software, and hardware Ability to simultaneously coordinate and complete multiple projects Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise Application Instructions Only applications submitted through the official UNMJobs site will be accepted.
