We are seeking a versatile and experienced Auto Service Master Technician or Shop Foreman to lead our service team and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the service shop, ensuring efficiency and quality in all repairs.
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on high-end and luxury automobiles, including mechanical, electrical, and system components.
Perform automotive repairs and maintenance in accordance with dealer/factory standards and company policy/procedures.
Manage daily parts support and maintain tools and equipment.
Utilize Tech Metric and Pro Demand DMS to accurately review labor estimates and collaborate with service advisor on job bids.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent performance.
Develop and implement best practices for repair processes, drawing from dealership experience to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Manage work schedules and delegate tasks effectively to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
Conduct quality control checks on completed work to ensure adherence to high standards.
Collaborate with the service advisor to communicate repair details and timelines to customers.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to maintain a cutting-edge service department.
Participate in business growth initiatives, including exploring ways to improve shop productivity and profitability.
Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems.
Provide detailed explanations to service advisors and customers about diagnostic findings and repair suggestions.
Adhere to factory service procedures while delivering high-quality customer service.
Manage inventory of supplies and tools to ensure availability for assigned tasks.
Collaborate with other technicians and staff to streamline service processes and improve customer satisfaction.
Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on a variety of race / performance / street vehicles and various equipment.
Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance.
Follow company policy and procedures in making all repairs.
Prompt, daily attendance at assigned work location.
Qualifications:
ASE Master Certified Technician required; additional certifications (e.g., L1, L2) are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive repair, with a focus on luxury or high-performance vehicles.
Previous leadership experience, such as foreman or team lead roles, preferred.
Extensive knowledge of dealership repair practices and the ability to implement them in a smaller, agile shop environment.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex vehicle systems.
Proficient with advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, service advisors, and customers.
A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Passion for the automotive industry, with a commitment to delivering top-tier service.
Safely walk & stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery (including working outdoors in inclement weather).
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally).
Safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat & kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends only when necessary and notified in advance.
Clean, valid drivers license.
Proficient computer skills.
Desire to continue education.
