This client prides themselves on fostering a collaborative environment where innovation thrives and employees can develop their careers.Key Responsibilities:Production Oversight: Manage daily production activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.Lean Manufacturing: Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects focused on optimizing processes, enhancing product quality, and improving efficiency.Kaizen Initiatives: Facilitate Kaizen events to identify and solve problems collaboratively, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production performance and identify areas for improvement.Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to drive improvements and resolve production issues.Training and Development: Oversee training programs for team members to enhance skills and knowledge related to production processes and lean practices.Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on production performance, improvement initiatives, and team achievements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the railroad equipment or heavy machinery sectors.Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
