Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving processes and systems in a production and warehouse environment. The role involves optimizing the efficiency, quality, and safety of manufacturing and warehouse operations while minimizing costs. This position is also responsible for the repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines, and systems. The role may incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. This position is based on site in Hebron, KY USA.

Essential Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice regarding opportunities for improvement for productivity and efficiency.
  • Write investment proposals for machines, equipment, and tools.
  • Support/advise the R&D Department (implementation and possible production method, production costs and tests) in order to come up with a justified design, including calculating the change of the production costs as a result of a design and/or process modification.
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers during the complete process; RFQ, Negotiation, on-site activities, and final inspection of the product or service (FAT and SAT).
  • Analyze the project obtained command (production optimization, troubleshooting, product modifications, production deploy quality improvement processes, studies of defects in production parameters realize and correct etc.).
  • Collect information and determine the required boundary conditions (product analysis, process analysis, market research production process).
  • Formulate and implement plan of approach, program requirements, experiments, purpose and outcome of the project and planning in consultation with senior management, production management, and, if necessary, assembling the project team.
  • Lead full scale project management activities including project planning with respect to time, quality and budget.
  • Search and analyze potential production technologies.
  • Support the Purchasing Department in the assessment of suppliers and purchasing negotiations and guide customer audits.
  • Lead change of plant lay-out based on the purchase of new means of production or process changes and/or optimization of production.
  • Responsible for the project administration and training.
  • Work collaboratively with R&D, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Sales and any external project partners.
  • Report to management of project progress with regard to results, deviations and deviation causes.
  • Quickly respond to machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including motors, conveyors, and production machinery.
  • Replace worn or defective parts to prevent machine failures.
  • Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure proper functionality.
  • Compliance with business rules, environmental and safety requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related area
  • Lathes, machining centers, drilling and grinding machines, cleaning machines, welding machines, robots and various mounting machines etc.
  • Production processes and management systems
  • Operating principle of shock absorbers & Mechanics
  • Project management & process analysis
  • PLC software principles.
  • ERP systems, Solid works, AutoCAD

The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range:
Salary: $89,400-$133,800 + benefits
