Position: Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Greater Knoxville, TN Area

Position Overview:
We are seeking a manufacturing supervisor to join our client’s operations team. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee production ensuring that quality and productivity metrics are met in a high mix engineered and built to order manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise metal fabrication, welding and assembly teams while ensuring that production, quality and delivery goals are achieved.
• Work with engineering to design cost-effective plant layouts and ergonomic stations for new product lines.
• Address manufacturing issues while researching and recommending solutions.
• Implement manufacturing changes to reduce production costs.
• Facilitate and ensure a safe work environment which complies with Federal and state regulations.
• Participate in and lead ongoing Kaizen events in the plant.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or manufacturing field preferred.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing capacity.
• Ability to motivate people and organize teams to accomplish goals.
• Familiarity with lean Six Sigma tools and methods.
• Ability to drive results and meet deadlines to achieve objectives.
