The position coordinates various plant accounting functions, including cost accounting, monthly closing, inventory controls, plant production reporting and cost analysis. Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger in SAP. The position will be responsible for developing various aspects of the plant's cost budget and ensuring that the cost and general accounting systems are updated to be consistent with the budget. This position is responsible for providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance. Also, assembling and summarizing data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.

Responsibilities
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) taking into account company's goals and financial standing
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risk
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
- Consult with operations to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
- Drive improvement in Long-Range Financial Planning and Supply and Inventory Operations Processes
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
- Develop and take ownership of various portions of annual budget, as well as monthly forecasts
- Support plant leadership through detailed analysis of expenses.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 plus years accounting experience
- Experience in Manufacturing accounting preferred
- Detailed knowledge of accounting principles.
- Highly effective communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and/or variance analysis
- Skilled in using Microsoft packages.
