Manufacturing Operations Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead the establishment and operation of a state-of-the-art turbojet engine manufacturing facility. This role involves overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving production efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership, a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing operations management with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality assurance systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
    • Excellent leadership and team-building abilities to effectively manage diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) projects.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials and associated manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules while adhering to strict aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Process Optimization:
    • Implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Build and mentor a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Maintain and exceed quality standards and certifications (e.g., AS9100) through robust quality control systems and monitoring.
  5. Resource Management:
    • Manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control costs to meet financial objectives.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Coordinate closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues and ensure seamless operations.
  7. Safety and Compliance:
    • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in aerospace manufacturing.
  8. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Provide senior management with regular reports on manufacturing performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and actionable recommendations for improvement.
