Job Description

Resideo is currently seeking a Senior Design Manufacturing Engineer to work with factory and engineering teams to ensure the engineering product design can meet factory's DFM and DFT requirements. The successful candidates should have solid product DFM checking experience, have a strong background in manufacturing processes, have good factory test knowledge and excellent collaboration skill with cross-functional teams.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Responsible to review BOMs, design PCB panels, using Valor NPI tool check DFM&DFT issues on each PCB design with engineering team and factory, represent engineering with where improvements can be made with factory processes.
  • Valor NPI and other manufacturing tools' management, such as library and tool upgrade etc.
  • Cooperate with Resideo factory and OEM factory regularly, design, develop and maintain PCBA and Assembly's DFM and DFT Procedures and Checklists to guide engineering team product design which can meet factory manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Production, and Quality Control, to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with PCB vendors and engineers to optimize the design with respect to producibility, reliability and cost.
  • Generate SA Assembly drawing files for factory manufacturing.
  • Support ECAD Librarians by Ensuring Development of ECAD Library Parts which meet PCBA DFM and IPC requirements.
  • Support Component Engineering by Ensuring Component Specification Content meets PCBA DFM requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance on manufacturing and quality processes and best practices.
  • Drive continuous manufacturing processes improvement initiatives, monitor, and analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency and product quality improvement.
  • Maintain, develop, and test Valor NPI ERF rules based on the vendors and factory requirements and guidelines.

YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Valor NPI tool.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering support responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes and IPC standards.

WE VALUE:
  • Experience with high-volume consumer electronic products manufacturing is desired.
  • Technical background of DFM and DFT guidelines and checklists.
  • Manufacturing working experience in factory.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Small team management experience is a plus.
