118-125KKey Responsibilities:
  1. Production Planning and Workflow Optimization:
  • Organize work schedules, manage workflows, and ensure efficient task assignments and adherence to policies.
  • Standardize work procedures and continually assess them for efficiency improvements.
  • Align department activities with inventory, quality assurance, and delivery targets.
  1. Personnel Management and Development:
  • Supervise 60-75 employees, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and handling grievances.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, offering coaching and regular feedback to employees to enhance skills.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and manage the departmental budget.
  1. Lean Manufacturing and Policy Deployment:
  • Drive initiatives in Lean Manufacturing, quality control, safety, and cost reduction.
  • Oversee departmental alignment with Lean practices, aiming to meet customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
  1. Coordination and Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other managers to ensure alignment in production, inventory management, and quality.
  • Communicate regularly with maintenance staff for equipment repair and upkeep, prioritizing safety and incident reporting procedures.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  • Hold weekly safety meetings and ensure that all safety protocols are rigorously followed.
  • Address and escalate safety concerns to the Safety Manager or HR, and work to maintain a safe work environment.
  1. Budgeting and Resource Management:
  • Oversee and control the department’s budget, managing material requirements to improve inventory turnover and reduce waste.
  • Plan staffing and departmental resources in line with the budget and demand forecasts.
  1. Reporting and Performance Monitoring:
  • Utilize tools like the New Generation Operation Schedule (NGOS) to monitor and adjust production schedules.
  • Ensure departmental metrics on productivity, quality, and cost are met, with regular updates to management on performance.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a general management or supervisory role in manufacturing.
  • Skills: Knowledge of manufacturing methods and equipment, ability to read drawings and specifications, strong leadership and multitasking skills, adaptability, and excellent communication.
