Carisam is hiring: Shipping Material Handler in Miami

Responsibilities for Position:

The Material Handler will report to the Warehouse Manager, in Shipping. The responsibilities include accurately organizing and coordinating customer related documents such as grouping by name, delivery date and location. The job routinely requires the ability to read shipping documents, or equivalent. Work includes pulling orders together and assembling them for shipment to customers. Additional duties may include: Using shrink wrap machines, label and shrink wrap orders; gathering or distributing product or materials within the area, clean and organize assigned aisle; some packaging may be required. Incumbents will routinely use a stock picker and/or forklift machine to pick up orders; maintain proper care of the stock picker, forklift and/or applicable warehouse equipment include checking the water level and the battery. May include the use of bar code readers, in addition to computer terminals or other electronic devices to track products, assist in checking inventory and loading of containers. Overtime will be required. Flexible schedule is a MUST.

Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:

· Ability to perform basic data entry and computer skills

· Ability to read and write in English

· Ability to lift upwards of 40 lbs.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast moving environment

· Able to pay attention to detail and willing to work overtime.

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

High School Diploma or GED, or a combination of experience and/or education in related field, 12 months Stock Picker and/or Forklift experience, and a minimum 1 year Warehouse experience. Forklift Certification Required.
