Aegis Worldwide is hiring: Welding Coordinator in Chicago

We are looking for a well respected client to find a Welding Coordinator to lead the company’s welding program and ensure that all manufactured products consistently meet or exceed quality standards and comply with governing codes and regulations. This position involves managing all aspects of welding operations, including technical reviews, personnel requirements, equipment and materials evaluation, and the development and implementation of welding procedures (WPS and PQR). The coordinator will oversee weld inspections, maintain calibration and traceability records, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AWS D1.1 standards.

Key responsibilities include re-certifying PQRs and WPSs, updating welder qualifications and continuity, maintaining equipment calibration, and conducting annual welder training programs. The coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Quality to enhance inspection processes, manage nonconformance repairs, and ensure welder certifications align with production needs. Additionally, they will play a critical role in project quality planning by reviewing customer specifications, identifying quality control requirements, and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared for final customer submittals.

Position: Welding Coordinator 

Shift: 1st 6am -2:30pm

Pay: $28/HR - $36/HR
