Shift Differential Pay: For hours worked 4pm - 12 am ($.50/hour) or 12am - 8am ($1.00/hour)

Job Summary

Handles all customer transactions during an assigned shift.

Essential Job Duties

1. Ensures that all activities are in accordance with approved policies and procedures
2. Ensures that all IRS Currency Transaction Reporting (Title 31) procedures are followed.
3. Physical verification and balancing of impressed bank.
4. Notifies Surveillance of any transaction of $2000 or more.
5. Notifies the Pit Floor Person of any chip transaction of $2000 or more.
6. Provides correct change to guests.
7. Exchange chips for currency.
8. Processes checks and cash advance transactions for guests.
9. Cashes in ticket vouchers for guests.
10. Operates jet sorter and jet scan.
11. Operate calculators quickly and accurately.
12. Distinguishes value of all chips.
13. Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
14. Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
15. Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
16. Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
17. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
18. Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards.

Supplemental Job Duties

1. May verify transactions of $500 or more.
2. Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
3. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Frequent periods of using hands, wrists, fingers and arms, standing, stretching, reaching and bending will be required. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Normal vision range and ability to distinguish colors and numbers is required. Requires attention to detail and alertness during an entire shift. Must be confidential.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must have previous cash handling experience. Must successful complete a Cage Aptitude test. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work directly and interact with the general public. Must possess good money handling skills and basic math skills. Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Must be flexible with work shifts and days off. Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Otherwise, this position may play any casino game while off duty. Employees and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
