As a seasonal team member, you will play an essential role in creating memorable experiences for our visitors, whether it's through food and beverage service, event support, or hospitality.

Seasonal Banquet Server

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Seasonal Banquet Servers at the Lakehouse Resort. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to guests during our busy holiday events. You will be responsible for setting up, serving, and breaking down banquet events while maintaining high service standards and ensuring a positive guest experience. This is a great opportunity to work in a festive, fast-paced environment and be part of a dynamic team.

The duties of a Seasonal Banquet Server include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service during banquet events.
  • Set up banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and settings according to event specifications.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, following proper service etiquette and timing.
  • Ensure tables and service areas are clean and well-maintained throughout the event.
  • Assist with food and beverage setup and replenishment at buffet stations, if applicable.
  • Work closely with the banquet captain and other team members to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Clear tables and reset for the next course or event, ensuring timely service and cleanliness.
  • Address any guest needs or concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist with the breakdown and clean-up of banquet areas after events.
  • Follow all health and safety standards, including food handling and sanitation procedures.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a banquet server or in food and beverage service preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • RBS Certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
  • Able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages, as well as perform physical tasks such as setting up tables and chairs.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the busy event season.
  • Primarily indoor, with occasional outdoor events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods during events.
  • Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare bills.
