OVERVIEWThe Entry Level Technician performs basic maintenance and repairs to customer vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles.
- Check air pressure of tires.
- Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
- Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
- Spray leaf springs with lubricant, using spray gun.
- Add water to radiator and battery.
- Replace oil and air filters.
- Complete multi-point inspection with team member.
- Act in a professional manner at all times
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Manual dexterity.
- Good judgment.
- Automotive industry experience is a plus.
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
This is a physically demanding position. The Entry Level Technician may stand six to eight hours during a shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds. Will use spray gun. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
