Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the accounting department with various accounting functions. This position involves preparing financial statements, handling accounts payable/receivable, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger, and other financial accounts.
Support in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
Prepare and assist with audits and other compliance activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role (typically 1-3 years).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting standards is a plus.
