JOB OVERVIEW The Associate HR Business Partner will provide support to our Manufacturing facility that will support a positive, productive and legally compliant work environment. This role is responsible for employee relations, performance management, workforce staffing, and operations training programs for the facility. The Generalist is business savvy, naturally driven, assertive and passionate about their craft of inspiring innovation, organizational effectiveness and accountability and educating leaders in best HR practices. This position is full-time in our Chicopee, MA Golf Ball Manufacturing facility where the team is always committed to doing work that we are proud of. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively manage employee relations, complaint resolution and investigations and provides counsel and recommendations. Ensure legal requirements are met to protect the Company and limit claims exposure. Partner with assigned client groups to implement and execute HR programs, processes and tools, primarily in the areas of workforce staffing, performance management, employee development, employee relations and special programs. Interpret HR policies, employment/labor laws and regulations for internal customers. Maintain a working knowledge of employment and labor laws, regulations, and guidelines. Partner with Talent Acquisition and customers to ensure staffing needs are being met. Supporting role in organizational restructuring, planning and execution. Support training for both people leaders and union employees. Support recruiting efforts across organization, as necessary. Support HR Business Partner to help negotiate and administer labor contracts. Reports on and analyzes plant and office labor turnover/absentee activities and develops and administers a program to reduce absenteeism and tardiness of plant employees. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Knowledge of all facets of Human Resources including workforce planning, staffing organizational planning, labor relations, compensation, benefits and training/development. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to interpret and analyze HR data. Ability to listen and solicit many perspectives in making decisions. Manages multiple priorities and demands successfully. Possesses professional maturity and sound business and ethical judgment. Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional HR certification (PHR) desired. Minimum 2 years in a Generalist capacity in a fast-paced environment.
