Contract: Permanent Salary: $160,000 to $180,000

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented

Director of Finance

at The Dupont Circle Hotel. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of our business. Reporting directly to the General Manager and with a dotted line to Group Finance, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, accounting, and budgeting, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the hotel. You will also work closely with the wider Finance team, led by the Chief Financial Officer. Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy & Planning - Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans aligned with the Hotel’s goals Tax, Insurance & 401K – Manage all aspects of Real Estate Tax, company health insurance programme and the annual filings, payment an audit of 401K Financial Management – oversee the day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, commission and cash management Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic revenue, expense and profitability targets Financial Reporting & Analysis – prepare management accounts and financial analysis Payroll – management of all payroll administration, processing and auditing, management of the relationship with the external payroll provider Team Leadership & Development – Recruit, train and mentor a high performing finance team Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in luxury hotels Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading and developing teams Thorough understanding of hotel operations, revenue management principles, and industry best practices Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and payroll management systems is a plus The Perks of working for The Dupont Circle Hotel: Low cost health benefits the first of the month following 60 days 401k with Company match Free short and long term disability benefits Paid Vacation, paid Holidays and Paid sick time Free shift meals Discounted parking and access to commuter benefits Doyle Collection travel discounts Wellness Perks and a free employee assistance program
