Head of Data Operations & Strategy in Finance (DOST), SVP
Who we are looking for:
The Head of Data Operations and Strategy in Finance (DOST) will be responsible for three key functions within the CFO organization.
Drive Data Strategy for Finance and Sustainability; a transformational effort to define, change and implement data-centric solutions for improving Finance functions through better data design and management.
Own and manage multiple data platforms for change, ensuring Finance and Financial Risk teams have access to accurate and timely data.
Lead the Finance data management and governance function, supporting the Bank’s extensive enterprise data strategy and initiatives, including regulatory programs around BCBS 239 and Data Governance.
The role will manage a team of approximately 80 FTEs globally in N.A, Europe, and India.
What you will also be responsible for:
Lead and execute critical change programs around data requiring senior stakeholder engagement.
Represent Finance in various senior forums and committees.
Develop and execute the Finance and Sustainability data strategy aligned with roadmap goals.
Coordinate with Finance, Risk, Business Units, Sustainability, CDO office, and Technology.
Engage with technology to deliver innovative solutions to enhance Finance data capability.
Use data to drive efficiencies in Finance via process improvements.
Assist Finance leadership in providing data solutions for process optimization and regulatory changes.
Manage multiple data platforms across Finance, Risk, and Treasury for regulatory and risk processes.
Adapt and maintain Finance data models to support business and system changes.
Drive global regulatory programs on data (BCBS 239) and Data Governance Policy adoption.
Partner with Enterprise Data Governance on corporate data initiatives and reporting.
Participate in data committees and working groups.
Publish dashboards to measure the health of Finance data for senior stakeholder transparency.
Drive a data quality framework to improve data issue management.
Unite efforts across Finance, Treasury, and Risk for efficient data management.
Manage data distribution across Finance and Treasury using BI tools.
Partner with reporting teams to ensure data accessibility and security.
Drive a culture of engagement, transparency, and accuracy across the group.
Qualifications and Skills include:
20+ years’ experience with Core Corporate Finance and Corporate Functions.
Strong experience in Data Design and Management.
Core competency in Process Design with hands-on experience.
Team Leadership and Strategy Delivery experience.
Project Management Leadership with PMO experience.
Ability to drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and executive presence.
Ability to translate complex data concepts into layperson terms.
Collaboration skills across organizations.
Analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
