Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support Job Details Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics Certifications Required: BLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Medical Surgical Unit with remote telemetry and potential medical surgical diagnoses Ratio / Census: 1:6; 38 bed unit with average daily census of 33 Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR Scrub Color: Navy Blue RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend Floating: Yes Call Requirements: None Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Job Requirements BLS - Basic Life Support State License 1 Verification (within 30 days prior to start date) Annual Nursys (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start date Schedule Information Contract Length: 14 Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
