Desktop Support Specialist

Location: 116 Williams Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11207 What You'll Do Your role as Desktop Support Specialist is key to ensuring that our users have access to systems that are up-to-date and working effectively. You'll deliver support for problems reported to the Help Desk Ticketing System for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices. And you'll work independently and manage/prioritize multiple tasks. Your responsibilities will include: Receiving and documenting requests for support. Configuring new desktops, routers, modems, and similar devices. Performing regular preventive maintenance and inventory of company assets. Updating computer operating systems and other important software. Providing suggestions on appropriate training for staff. Traveling to our sites in the New York City metropolitan area, Suffolk County, New Jersey, and Philadelphia if necessary. You're a great fit for this role if you have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and skills. A minimum of two years' experience supporting end users. Commitment to outstanding customer service. Patience to interact calmly and respectfully with users who may have limited computer knowledge. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft applications. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
