About the Role: They are seeking a talented and motivated Remote BigCommerce Developer to join their dynamic team. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and develop innovative solutions that address key business needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain eCommerce websites on the BigCommerce platform. Design and implement custom BigCommerce themes tailored to business requirements. Migrate websites from other eCommerce platforms to BigCommerce, ensuring seamless functionality. Extend BigCommerce functionalities by utilizing Storefront APIs and Stencil util-APIs. Integrate third-party applications and extensions to enhance the core capabilities of BigCommerce websites. Configure payment gateways, shipping methods, and taxation systems within BigCommerce. Optimize website performance and page speed for an improved user experience. Convert complex PSD layouts into pixel-perfect HTML5/CSS3 templates with cross-browser compatibility. Create and maintain responsive, mobile-friendly website designs. Manage version control using systems such as GIT or SVN. Deliver high-quality work with strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Collaborate with external development partners on key initiatives. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in BigCommerce website development, with expertise in theme development, customization, and the Stencil framework. Proficient in Storefront APIs, Stencil util-APIs, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ECMA Script 5/6); experience with JavaScript libraries like jQuery. Strong understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, W3C standards, and accessibility guidelines. Familiarity with SEO/CRO best practices for BigCommerce sites. Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to learn quickly; self-starter with leadership qualities. Preferred experience with ReactJS/AngularJS, PHP/MySQL, AJAX, IIS Web Server Configuration, and domain redirects. BigCommerce certification is a plus.
