Employment Terms: This job is a full -time, benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in Computer Information Systems Division that reports to t h e Dean of Computer Information Systems . Salary : Commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $6 9,680 per year. Minimum Requirements (Job Code 80038 ) : Bachelor's degree in field and 18 graduate hours in field; OR Master's degree in field . Applicable certifications directly related to computer cyber security , and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualification s: Prior teaching experience in a post-secondary or technical education setting required , including experience with curriculum design and development, student evaluation, and outcome assessment. CISSP, Security , CEH, CPT, or CHFI certifications are preferred. Experience in teachin g college-level CIS courses in T wo-year colleges or degree-granting technical colleges. Experience in course and curriculum development, demonstrated flexibility with diverse student population and learning styles; demonstrated experience with a variety of teaching strategies including the use of advanced instructional technologies . Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the community . Ability to teach in the classroom and in handling deadlines. Proficient in written and oral communication. Demonstrated occupational competency. Experience with online instruction a plus. Job Description Summary: Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited Cyber Security courses at Gwinnett Technical College . Develops program and syllabi, goals, and objectives . Teaches face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes as needed to provide course delivery and scheduling options that promote student retention and program completion. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives . Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests. Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate . Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Attending staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area. Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues. Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
