Salary: $33.21 Hourly Location : Justice Center - West Chester, PA Job Type: Full Time, Non Exempt Job Number: 02913 Department: District Attorney Division: District Attorney Opening Date: 05/29/2024 Closing Date: Continuous Weekly Hours: 35 Shift: 8:30am-4:30pm Summary The Criminal Justice Computer Analyst (the "CJCA") is responsible for working with the Chester County District Attorney's office, Chester County Detective's and the FBI's Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory (the "RCFL"). The CJCA will be assigned to the FBI's regional Computer Forensic Laboratory (RCFL) in Radnor Pa. Essential Duties • Responsible for forensic examinations of computers and related media, collect and analyze computer-based evidence for a court of law. • Be prepared to testify as an expert in Computer Forensics/Data Recovery and Analysis in a court of law. • Work in conjunction with the Chester County District Attorney's Office, Chester County Detectives, and the RCFL to facilitate the process of computer forensics and technical analysis. • Assist the Chester County District Attorney's Office and Chester County Detective's with the technical aspects of arrest, prosecution, and court process of investigations of a technical nature. • Test and evaluate new software for the District Attorney's Office, the Chester County Detectives, and the RCFL. • Support software applications used by the County Detectives office. • Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects, as required. Qualifications/Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience • Must acquire and maintain a level of security clearance as is required by the FBI. • A minimum of three (3) years of computer forensic examination experience, with a preference toward criminal investigative experience. • Proficient with X-Ways, Cellebrite UFED and Physical Analyzer, and Magnet Axiom. • Strong working knowledge of computer forensic procedures, data recovery processes, and standard best practices. • Strong overall working knowledge of operating systems, computer networks, and computer hardware. • Demonstrable skills in Windows, with a familiarity of MacOS and Linux. • Strong background in Information technology. • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of County management. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and advanced interpersonal skills. • Must be flexible and have the ability to work independently, proceed with objectives, and carry tasks to completion. • Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters. • Ability to work on various teams and committees. • Ability to work with law enforcement agencies. • A valid driver's license is required. Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience: • Current and active IACIS Computer Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) credential or comparable. • Current Cellebrite CCO CCPA, or CCME certifications. • Working knowledge of investigations involving computers, cellular telephones, tablet devices, and other electronic devices. • Working knowledge of SQLite Databases and SQLite Forensic tools. • Strong professional ethics. • Ability to follow office protocols. • Able to use common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions. • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems. • Strong time management skills. • Strong project management skills (conduct meetings, interviewing, research, consensus gathering, follow ups, travel, and training). • Ability to establish priorities. • Accurate and detail oriented. • Advanced organizational skills. • Ability to multi-task. • General knowledge and understanding of County of Chester policies and procedures. Computer Skills: In addition to the above-mentioned computer skills, to perform this job successfully, an individual should have: • Advanced skills in all Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Access, and Power point and Outlook. • Ability to comprehend the fundamentals of other software programs as needed.
